Macau International
Professional Ballroom Dancing Association (MIPBDA)
was founded on
13th October, 2004, by Ms.
Angela Leong On Kei, the Chartered President
of
MIPBDA
whereas Wendy To Man Ying was the Vice President and Ms. Lam Soc Iun was the
Executive Committee Chairman. Mrs. Li Wong Hoi Ping is current President of
MIPBDA who is actively managing the Association business.
In a short period active
membership grew to over 400 and expected to continue in its growth.
Dance classes
are hosted by Ms. Wendy To Man Ying, of “Shall We Dance” Dancing Studio in
Macao’s China Plaza. Founded in 2002
at Keck Seng Centre, both have now
associated
with MIPBDA offering dancing classes in
Macau and Hong Kong
MIPBDA,
is committed to develop dance music adaptation enriching various dance
techniques. World top championship winners
instructors: Hans Laxholm, Massimo
Giorgianni,
Scott Henry Draper,
Tony & Amanda Dokman, Grant Andrew
Barratt-Thompson and Loris Mainetti are frequently invitees
in
MIPBDA’s
functions. More visiting instructors like
Kenny Welsh, Robin Short and Marcus Hilton MBE will also be our invitees
respectively in Aug and Sept 2007.
MIPBDA’s,
top performers have won many prizes for professional and amateurs’ championships
in the United Kingdom, Singapore,
Hong Kong and other Asian countries.
Our top instructor, Wendy To
Man Ying, was named as
the World Top Competitive Instructor by Starlight Dance Centre,
London, England, hosted by Bill
Irvine
M.B.E. and Marcus & Karen Hilton M.B.E. Indeed,
the greatest honor to Dancing Instructors recognized by World Class of dancing.
MIPBDA
received through Macau Dance Council full membership to the World Dance Council
in June, 2007, attested to its excellence as one of the best Dancing Associations
in Macau. Some of our outstanding
members have been appointed as
Adjudicators for World Class Championships
Competitions.
Our members
in numerous journeys of competitions to United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore and
Hong Kong,
have full confidence in its ability to attain excellence in championships
competitions.
